Monroe Mill Featured on Curbed Seattle!

Brad Vancour

I'm excited to announce that the very unique Monroe Mill property was recently featured on Curbed Seattle!

Originally part of an entire saw mill operation, the only remaining building has been converted into a residence! Located right on the edge of Wagner Lake, the 10+ acre lot comes complete with a 4 hole pitch and putt course, an equestrian barn and guest lodge. A historic property with an immense opportunity for the future.

Brad Vancour Hosts Successful VIP Broker’s Open at Misty Isle Farms

Brad Vancour

We’re elated to share that the VIP Broker’s Open held at Misty Isle Farms last week was an absolute success! Already recognized for its excellence by the Sotheby’s International Realty Extraordinary Living Blog and voted The Puget Sound Business Journal’s “Home of the Week,” this stunning property impressed brokers and buyers alike with its unique horticultural collections, miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, PGA-standard driving range, grand primary residence, guest houses, and the unparalleled water and mountain vistas.

The CEO of Development Services of America, who co-owns Misty Isle Farms along with Thomas J. Stewart Living Trust, flew up from Arizona just for the occasion and treated attendees to perimeter tours of the expansive property. Guests were also given the opportunity to board golf carts owned by the property to explore the grounds on their own, and many reveled at the chance to explore the seemingly endless Rose Gardens and pathways.

After working up an appetite, visitors moved to the main residence to mingle and savor a delicious lunch, as Listing Broker Brad Vancour fielded questions from buyers and developers considering acquisition.

After lunch was over, the excitement grew as Brad held a raffle to commemorate the Seattle Seahawks featuring jerseys, t-shirts and a 2014 Super Bowl team photo.

A favorite stop on the tour? The exclusive wine cellar featuring rare, old and expensive French and California wines.

Listing Broker Brad Vancour (pictured above) said, “The VIP Broker Open could not have gone better. Not only did we host fifty of the top Seattle Area agents, but two of Washington’s premier Chinese Agents, Lili Shang and Liz Davidson, brought groups of Chinese Buyers and Developers to view the most expensive listing in the evergreen state, priced at $43 million.”

As the fun-filled day came to an end, the skies faded into pink over the stunning water and mountain views at Misty Isle Farms.

DeLille Cellars: Poised to be the Top Vintners of the Holiday Season

Brad Vancour

With over 1,700 wineries to choose from in the Pacific Northwest, selecting that perfect bottle can easily feel like an overwhelming task. Thanks to The Seattle Timeswine writer Andy Perdue, however, the job has become much more manageable as he released his top 50 wines within Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia for 2014. Which winery received top honor?

None other than DeLille Cellars! We are privileged to share our Connoisseurs of Life Showroom in Kirkland with Maison DeLille — a wine lounge and retail wine shop operated by these fabulous vintners. They earned first place on Perdue’s list for their 2011 Four Flags cabernet sauvignon. A “blend from four great vineyards on the Red Mountain,” Perdue says he tried it “on four occasions, and it never failed to make a deep impression,” adding that “this just might be DeLille’s finest effort to date – and that’s saying something.”

It certainly is saying something and their level of excellence certainly upholds, as they have been recognized as one of the top five wineries by Wine Enthusiast Magazine in the running for Winery of the Year in 2014. Winners will be announced in a special issue on December 31st, with a black-tie gala in New York City to celebrate in 2015.

Perdue also recently named DeLille Cellars 2013 Chaleur Estate blanc a wine to “impress the in-laws” in the coming holiday season. A season that promises to be merrier given the limited selection of magnums and three litre larger bottles DeLille is offering to make giving the perfect gift a cinch. They’re going fast, though, so head to the Carriage House in Woodinville or their website so you don’t miss out!

Another thing not to be missed in the coming season? The chance to meet winemaker Chris Upchurch at the Carriage House this December. He will be there two Saturdays, the 6th and the 13th, from 2 to 4 pm, where guests can share a glass of red with him and pick his brain about their truly delectable nectar.
