The largest land offering in Washington state at over 10,000 acres, Ravenwing Ranch is a unique trophy property of vast spaces, open skies and endless possibilities. Nestled along the west side of the Columbia River, rolling hills and valleys give way to spectacular views with 1.25 miles of pristine river frontage. Brad Vancour, the listing broker with Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, recently arranged for a group of Special Forces Military and a Wounded Warrior to visit and hunt on the property for an Outside Magazine feature that outlines the ways in which thoughtful hunting practices and population management are bolstering herd animal conservation efforts.

As the article describes, following sharp declines in herd populations in the early 20th century, William Temple Hornaday “a prominent zoologist, conservationist, taxidermist, and prolific author” began public conservation effort that, with the help of Teddy Roosevelt, grew into the North American Wildlife Conservation Model. This system “directs funds collected from hunters to habitat preservation, scientific study, and wildlife management” and provides an estimated $3 billion in conservation funds each year.

Vancour joined the group for their last evening on the property as they camped out underneath the stars. He says that though the owner generally does not grant requests for hunting on the property, they made an exception in this case for the group’s commitment to the environment and their affiliation with the Wounded Warrior Project. “It was truly a pleasure to welcome them to this unrivaled trophy property,” Vancour added.

Situated in Wenatchee, the “Apple Capital of the U.S.,” Ravenwing Ranch offers over 60 acres of cherry and apple trees that produce approximately $350,000 in annual revenue, two residential homes, a sales center and a large storage facility. The lower section of the trophy property has preliminary approval for resort development, and is ready for the vision of its next steward.

Cave B Private Villa Featured on Curbed Seattle

Brad Vancour

I am excited to share that my Cave B Private Villa is featured on Curbed Seattle today! This stunning Columbia River View Estate is just 2 hours east of Seattle by car via I-90; or under 30 minutes by air to Quincy Municipal Airport just 6 miles away.  Located on an isolated plot within the renown Cave B Estate Winery and Resort, this special home has sweeping panoramic gorge, cliff and valley views which the founders of the Resort specifically chose for their own personal residence. The actual home site was carved out by nature some 40 feet below the ridge line which towers 900 feet above the Columbia River. The views are truly breathtaking!

The 8.55 acre property and 4200 sf of living space is located within the heart of Cave B  Estate Winery & Resort; one of Washington State’s best known Wineries and recreational areas including the World Famous Gorge Amphitheater which is consistently voted one of the top outdoor Concert Venues in the US. The 300 acre Cave B Resort was chosen both for its natural drama and beauty, but also for its amazing growing conditions for premium wine grapes.  The latitude and soil conditions are similar to the great grape growing regions of  Europe, making this Washington location a very special place.

MISTY ISLE FARMS FEATURED ON EVENING MAGAZINE’S “UNREAL ESTATE”

Brad Vancour

On June 23, Misty Isle Farms was featured on Evening Magazine‘s “Unreal Estate.” As Vancour told King 5’s Eric A Riddle, “to be this close to Seattle and have a 500 acre property, this is pretty rare.” The segment covered a couple of in-home highlights, the 80 square foot shower area and the state-of-the-art climatized wine cellar, before discussing the true value of the property: the land. As Vancour described, Misty Isle Farms boasts unparalleled landscaping with 3,000 varieties of trees and rose types, numerous man-made water features (one of which is 3 acres), 8 miles of bike and horse trails, two PGA standard golf greens and a driving range, a private runway, and plenty of space for horses or cattle.

As the segment ended, Vancour told Evening Magazine, “you’ve got it all here. You’ve got your own sanctuary,” apropos given the sheer grandeur of Misty Isle Farms.

Misty Isle Farms has also received other attention from the media, as it previously was voted “Home of the Week” on the Puget Sound Business Journal and was also featured in Sotheby’s International Realty’s Perspectives.
